FAQ: When do you need to have a serial number function?
1.When your goods are of high value or there is warranty for the goods (e.g. camera).You want to track the specific stock.
2.When you have limited seats or placements, you do not want to a situation of overbooking or double book a service in an event you organize. (See Event setup)
The serial number feature in Realtimme Cloud will allow you to do your tracking.
Serial number
1.can be provided by the supplier or
2.you can set your own serial number if you produce your own goods.
3.blocked our when confirmed by payment
You need a bar code scanner (which can be purchased separately), to input the serial number into the system.

: How to use serial number for Stocks
To set a stock with Serial Number (SN) checking
Some stocks are required to be traced by serial number by each unique quantity, from the point of receiving from your supplier until the point of sales. Therefore, when creating the stock master, user must indicate if this item is serial number required for each stock movements ( incoming or outgoing)
Step 1: At [Stock Setup] tab, click [Stock Master] .
Click [Add]
Step 2: Enter the stock code, bar code , stock name etc... Next, tick the box [Serial Required] . and any other information as in the stock setup
Tick the Serial Required box
When entering the initial stock opening balance , at Stock Journal.

When receiving goods at Supplier Delivery order module, click on the serial number button, scan the serial number(s).

When you assembled your own finished goods, you can create your own Serial number , the produced quantities into the stock Journal,

When there is a transfer of goods to another warehouse (outlet, see Stock transfer)

When issue goods to Customer in the Customer Delivery Order module,

When selling of goods through the customer invoice module
|
Click POS Entry --> POS Invoice --> Add
Scan the bar code of the item purchased, if having serial number, scan the serial number found on the packing. |
When customer returned goods , at Customer Credit Note ( Returned Inwards) , scan the serial number of goods returned.

When returned goods back to supplier, at Supplier Credit Note ( Returned Outwards) , scan the serial number of the goods returned.

FAQ: Can I scan goods that goes out without scanning goods that comes in only?
Ans : No, Serial number follows a strict operating procedures that you must have goods in first before you can issue out.
