Stock master represents the things you sell, such as number of hours of consulting or an equipment, as an item.
The stock need not necessary be something physical; a freight forwarding company will use the stock code as a service quote, or an IT company that provides both hardware and installation services will be having both stock codes and service codes to bill their customers accordingly.
These will have a great impact on your way you want to harness the information as you move forward in your use of the system. 1) Do you have a few warehouse (outlet) location? (or if you are in a retail business, do you have more than one retail outlets)

At [Stock Setup], click [Stock Master] ,
If this is the first time you are in the stock setup module, you will see a default warehouse code [1] ) below.
[Add] to create a new stock, Fig 1 will appear

To add a new stock profile, [1] Enter a product or item code (See event code) Bar code field will be appended the stock code above by default. [2] Enter the product description that will appear in the invoice [3] Default warehouse [1], no action required [4] Default [Stock] in Stock Group [5] Stock Details update here before step [8] [6] Buying Details may update later [7] Selling Details update sellling price before step [8] [8] Click [Save] Notes : [b] Block Purchase [c] Serial Number [d] Stock Type [e] Stock Category, brand, location. [f] Stock Picture Recommendation: You may want to create Stock brand, stock location first before creating your stock master. |
You can sort the contents of the stock list alphabetically based on a column’s contents by clicking the column’s header.
