When issue invoice to your customer, you will indicate the item quantity as 1 pc or 12 box or 20kg
Stocks are measured in their unit of measure, example piece (pc) , box , Kilogram (Kg) etc.
(See Multi Unit Measure, MUM)
At Fig 1, by default, the Base U/M is set as PC, unless otherwise, you can change it to the relevant unit of measure (U/M). Click the drop down box to choose the U/M.
Realtimme inventory system supports up to a maximum of 4 units of measures in one single stock.
Example Base U/M : PC (pieces, being the smallest)
2nd Unit of Measure : Box = 1 PC X 6 ( 6 Pc in a box)
3rd Unit of Measure : Ctn = 1 pc x 36 ( 6 box in a carton)
At [Stock Setup] tab, click [Stock Master]
Click [Add]
Purchase Measure / Sales Measure
For item that are purchased in one unit of measure(e.g. carton) but sold in another unit of measure(piece), make use of Purchase Measure and Sales Measure to preset the buying and selling UM respectively.
Purchase Measure: You can preset your buying quantity to be the second unit of measure (e.g. Carton), system will automatically convert to base unit of measure, for this particular stock, likewise for sales measure.
Sales Measure: You can preset this stock with the selling quantity to be the base U/M (see Invoice with 2 or more UOM)
